How to Make Creamy Salmon in Just 30 Minutes

Creamy salmon is a delicious and elegant dish that is simple to prepare. Here's a step-by-step recipe for making creamy salmon:

Creamy Salmon:

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz/170g each), skinless

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mixture of dried oregano, basil, and thyme)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prep Salmon:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  1. Sear Salmon:

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked to your liking. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

  1. Make Creamy Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  1. Add Tomatoes:

  • Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.

  1. Pour in Cream and Broth:

  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or vegetable broth. Stir well to combine.

  1. Simmer:

  • Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld and the sauce thicken slightly.

  1. Add Parmesan and Herbs:

  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  1. Return Salmon to the Pan:

  • Return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning some of the creamy sauce over the top.

  1. Finish Cooking:

  • Let the salmon cook in the creamy sauce for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the salmon is heated through.

  1. Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish the creamy salmon with chopped fresh parsley. Serve the salmon over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread. Optionally, serve with lemon wedges for a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

  1. Enjoy:

  • Your creamy salmon is ready to be enjoyed! It's a rich and flavorful dish that is perfect for a special dinner.

Feel free to customize the recipe by adding spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or other ingredients to suit your taste.
